After 4 or 5 sessions this rotary hoe stopped turning…
when inspecting the internals the problem was quickly located: the steel worm wheel had chewed through the brass gear that is meant to transfer the rotation of the motor to the spinning blades..
Obviously the brass gear is not adapted to the forces at work – which should not come as a surprise to whoever engineered that thing.
According to Einhell’s web shop in France the replacement brass gear (“Worm and wheel” ref#343103001010) sells for the steep price of 47.99 € (which is about half the price of the new “Einhell BG-RT 1340 M”). A fine example of an overpriced (extremely quickly) wearing part.
This “tool” is junk and the spare part rip-off pricing that goes with it sucks.

Meme probleme avec la roue de la vis sans fin. Avez vous une adresse pour une piece compatible a un tarif decent.
Malheureusement pas. Finalement j’avais commande directement chez Einhell Allemagne ce qui était un peu moins cher qu’en France (€25+frais de port, voir “010Worm and wheel” https://www.isc-gmbh.info/isc_de_en/garden/einhell-blue/lawn-care/tillers/bg-rt-1340-m-2). C’est toujours beaucoup trop cher pour une piece qui va casser tout de suite..
Merci pour cette information, le prix des pieces chez ISC est effectivement bcp moins cher. Malheureusement, sur le site les commandes sont possibles uniquement pour les clients Allemands ou Autrichiens. Comment avez vous fait ?

Il faut leur téléphonner. Je leur ai éxpliqué que je vais jamais commander chez Einhell France tant que les prix ici sont bcp trop surhaussé et ce quand ils m’ont démandé ma adresse pour m’envoyer une facture. J’ai du payer par virement est la piece est arrivé 2 semaines plus tard.

in Greece it’s even worse. They’re asking 60something Euros for this useless rotary hoe. Obviously Einhell isn’t interested in selling, neither in having a good reputation between the “Low Priced” tools.
On the contrary, Parkside, the Lidl branched tools, are perfectly covered by 3 years of warranty, and usually replaced if something’s wrong, although they are a little gross made (like ’80s Russian Cameras!!)
